The Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors, better known as CRGAR, recently held their annual charity fundraising golf tournament. The weekend began with a Taxation for the Real Estate Professional seminar. This was followed by a sunset welcome party at the exclusive Pangas Beach Club in Tamarindo.
The grand event was held at the prestigious Reserva Conchal golf course that was designed by Robert Trent Jones III. Golfers enjoyed playing a 4 player scramble event on the lovely 18 hole golf course. Costa Rica’s own celebrity golf professional Alvaro Ortiz participated in the event as well. Alvaro has represented Costa Rica in many international tournaments. He is credited with five world amateur championships and 15 Latin American championships among others. Golfers and members enjoyed an award ceremony for the winning golf team at the Conchal Beach Club where trophies were given, sponsors thanked, and the final drawing of the raffle prizes were awarded.
This year’s charitable organizations that will enjoy the benefits of this fundraising event are the Centro de Educacion y Nutricion in Portegolpe, Colegio Academico of Playas del Coco. Each one of these organizations focuses on educating area children through normal school studies and enrichment programs which are funded by the CRGAR. This, the 12th annual tournament, Larry Graziano of Playa Negra Realty made rounds of the entire golf course. He greeted many of the sponsors of the event. All of his photos were donated to the Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors. Larry specializes in macro photography of area nature and wildlife in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. His work can be found in many avenues including Project Noah, various scientific articles, and on local websites and marketing materials. Larry’s passion for both nature and photography has led him to document biodiversity in Costa Rica through the cameras eye. He encounters roughly eight hundred different species a year.
